The Man Who Selling Jagung Rebus

it was 11pm at sudirman street when i saw this man, the street seller.

he was standing beside the cart, old and tired, while there are still a lot of jagung rebus not yet sold. his eyes looking far as if thinking of something.

suddenly i felt that i had to buy it, so i stopped my car and park it in the alley next to the street. I came and asked him: good evening sir, how much you sell the jagung rebus?

he turned the face and looked very happy seeing someone want to buy his jagung rebus: it's three thousands rupiahs only..he replied with the hope that I will buy it.

i nodded my face and said: ok then i will buy five. and then i gave my money to him.

the smile became wider when receiving my money: thank you, thank you very much sir. and he kept smiling when i left him.

i don't want to show that i am a good person when i wrote this story. this money is not much for us, in fact it needs to be multiplied by six to have a shoot of tequila or a glass of chardonnay. it needs to be multiplied by ten to have mojito or lychee martini. in other word, it's little money for us, everyone can do the same.

the thing that i want to share is my feeling when i saw his smile. the feeling of sharing to others, it made me feel good and happy also. actually i am the one being blessed during the event.

my friends, this is just refreshment as i am sure all of you know it already.

small things for us can be big things for others who really need it. so be sensitive with others around you and be proactive to share what you have to others. you will never know, how your compassion can turn out someone's life into a better one.

at least, it makes this world more comfortable to live in...
